USING THE REGIONAL GEOCHEMICAL SURVEY DATABASE: EXAMPLES FROM THE 1988 RELEAfZ?

چکیده
Regional geochemical survey (RGS) results for the lskut River (1048). Telegraph Creek (104G) and Tulsequah (104K) areas were released in July 1988. The release consists of chemical and physical data for sediment and water samples collected from more than 2700 streams over an area of 35 000 square kilometres underlain by 50 different rock units. For each sample over 40 variables were recorded in the field or determined later in a laboratory. The resulting product is complex and demands a thoroughly systematic approach to analysis if the full value of the survey is to be real&d. This paper presents a simple but rigorous method for using the data which relies on the recognition of geochemical subsets appropriate to the scope of the project. All database manipulations and statistical calculations described can be carried out on a microcomputer using commercially available software. Raw regional geochemical SW vey data for the entire province are available on floppy diskettes from the Applied Geochemistry Subsection, Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources.

CRFA-CRBM: a hybrid technique for anomaly recognition in regional geochemical exploration; case study: Dehsalm area, east of Iran
Identification of geochemical anomalies is a significant step during regional geochemical exploration. In this matter, new techniques have been developed based on deep learning networks. These simple-structure-networks act like our brains on processing the data by simulating deep layers of thinking. In this paper, a hybrid compositional-deep learning technique was applied to identify the anomal...
متن کاملSeparation of geochemical anomalies by Concentration-Area and Concentration-Number methods In the Saqez 1:100,000 Sheet, Kurdistan
Regional exploration and identification of anomalies can be done by geochemical data resulted from stream sediments. In this paper, fractal methods of concentration-number and concentration-area were used for regional studies, and abnormalities of elements including gold, arsenic, bismuth and mercury were studied. Statistical processing of these elements took place with the help of 1063 samples...

Soil heavy metal pollution is one of the main environmental problems in Pearl River Delta Economic Zone of China. Based on multi-purpose regional geochemical survey, regional eco-geochemical assessment, local eco-geochemical assessment and comprehensive appraisal, the eco-geochemical survey and assessment in Pearl River Delta Economic Zone of 41,698 km2 were completed. Samples from soils were c...
متن کاملDistribution and Variation of Arsenic in Wisconsin Surface Soils, With Data on Other Trace Elements
A total of 664 soil samples distributed among different geographic regions and soil types were collected across Wisconsin to describe the distribution of arsenic relative to parent material, soil texture, and drainage class. Soils from 6 inches in depth were composited, digested in aqua regia, and analyzed for 17 trace elements. Observed soil arsenic concentrations range from a high of 39 milli...

Motivated by the recent successful results of using GIS modeling in a variety of problems related to the geosciences, some knowledge-based methods were applied to a regional scale mapping of the mineral potential, special for Cu-Au mineralization in the Feyz-Abad area located in the NE of Iran. Mineral Prospectivity Mapping (MPM) is a multi-step process that ranks a promising target area for mo...
